Celebrating Movember with Cape Town Gin

This Movember, Cape Town Gin & Spirits Company is once again standing in solidarity with Men’s Health Awareness, and in encouragement of men taking charge of their health and getting tested regularly.

Men in South Africa are less likely to use health services than women and tend to be sicker when seeking help. Many of the illnesses that are impacting males, such as hypertension, coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes and even some cancers, are either preventable or at least medically manageable if men access health services early.

Unfortunately, societal expectations of ‘manliness’ place a stigma around men seeking mental and physical help. This harmful stigma, and other potential factors, result in delayed or inadequate treatment, often only pursued when the illness has already reached a severe stage.

Our mission this Movember is clear: Beyond the glass, we’re raising awareness, inspiring prevention and toasting to the future! Try our refreshing cocktail recipe using our Classic Dry gin.

Gin Rickey

Ingredients:

• 60ml Cape Town Classic Dry Gin
• 15ml fresh lime juice
• Soda water
• Lime wheel

Method:

Fill a highball glass with ice then add the gin and lime juice. Top up with soda water, and garnish with lime wheel.
