Your Turn to Wow the Crowds at Joburg’s Talent What’s on at #MyRandShow

The all-new Entertainment Zone at Rand Show 2020, brought to you by Fundi Education Finance, just keeps getting more exciting. Entries are now open for Joburg’s Talent – the Rand Show’s own epic talent search, which is giving gifted South African performers their unique place in the spotlight. Joburg’s Talent 2020 is bigger than ever before. So, if you think you have what it takes to wow the crowds and take your performing career to the next level, now is your time to shine.
There are total cash prizes of R 125 000 up for grabs for Joburg’s most impressive and talented contestants, plus Golden Tickets to the final auditions for Born to Perform at the Teatro and Montecasino in 2021.
It doesn’t stop there. There will also be vouchers for the Stageworx School of Performing Arts to be won. Vouchers can be put towards classes, showreels, professional photographs, music videos or song production. Finalists will also be given links to their performances, to use on their showreels or to share on social media.

Visit the Rand Show website on https://randshow.co.za/entertainment-zone/ and click on “Enter Here” under Joburg’s Talent before 1 March 2020 when entries close. Fill in the online entry form and select your category. Categories are as follows:
Solo acts aged 8 to 25 –
Singers
Dancers
Poets and spoken word artists
Songwriters and instrumentalists
Variety acts
Rappers and beatboxers
Schools and Community Groups aged 8 to 30 –
Choir and vocal groups
Dancer groups
Upload a video of yourself or your group performing. Contestants who are chosen for the Live Round, starting on Wednesday 8 April 2020, will be contacted by organisers. Solo entries are only open to contestants aged between 8 and 25. Group and community performances are open to contestants aged 8 to 30.
Prizes will be broken down as follows:
Solo Competition
1st Place – R50 000
2nd Place – R25 000
3rd Place – R10 000
4th Place – R5 000
TOTAL R90 000
Group and Schools Competition
1st Place – R25 000
2nd Place – R10 000
TOTAL – R35 000 Additional Prizes: Solo Competition
Five finalists will be chosen to win Golden Tickets to the final auditions for Born to Perform at the Teatro and Montecasino in 2021. Final Auditions will take place from the 6th to the 13th of September 2020.
R25 000 vouchers for the Stageworx School of Performing Arts.
Group Competition
Five finalists will be chosen to win Golden Tickets to the final auditions for Born to Perform at the Teatro and Montecasino in 2021. Final Auditions will take place from the 6th to the 13th of September 2020.
R15 000 vouchers for the Stageworx School of Performing Arts for a performing arts workshop in your school or community centre.
