Samsung Galaxy Prime Series Handsets Now in SA
Submitted by: Save to InstapaperSamsung Electronics South Africa recently launched the new and exciting Galaxy Prime series of phones, the Grand Prime+, J5 Prime and J7 Prime. These devices enable consumers to enjoy a smarter life with a smartphone that features refined design, smart camera and enhanced performance for the cost conscious consumer.
“The latest in the popular Prime series of handsets is a response to the changing market needs in South Africa through introducing a number of innovations, such as large screens, faster processing and higher quality selfie cameras,” says Craige Fleischer, Director of Integrated Mobility at Samsung Electronics South Africa.
The J5 and J7 Prime series of handsets are ultra-slim and elegantly finished in brushed metal, with more Random-access memory (RAM) that supports smoother user interface transitions. In addition, the handsets include fingerprint sensor for added security*, and Ultra Power Saving mode to extend battery life and are available in stylish black or gold.
The Grand Prime+ handset, with a 5 inch screen, 8MP back camera and 5MP smart selfie front facing camera with LED flash, is available in pink, gold, black and silver. This device also has 8GB** internal storage and features an expandable micro SD card slot that supports up to 128GB cards. This makes it easier to store all your videos, photos and music without the concern the concern of running out of storage space.
The larger J7 Prime offers a 5.5 inch display, a 13MP rear camera with low-light F1.9 lens and an 8MP smart selfie front camera. The J5 Prime features a 5 inch display and 1.4 GHz Quad-Core processor, with a 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP smart selfie front camera. Designed for next-generation consumers and stylish young professionals in mind, the new Prime series handsets capture better selfies with the high-quality front facing cameras; browse and post to social media faster, thanks to the improved processing power; enjoy stunning larger screen multimedia and stay connected for longer, with new longer-lasting batteries and power-saving features.
