Samsung Electronics South Africa is proud to announce that it has received three ‘Product of the Year 2017’ awards in various categories. The Product of the Year (PoY) survey is the world’s largest consumer-voted awards, established 25 years ago in France and operates in 37 countries. The purpose of the PoY Awards is to guide consumers to the best products in their market and reward manufacturers for quality and innovation. In South Africa, the PoY seal is backed by the votes of 5,000 consumers. Winners are chosen in its respective category through a nationally representative online study conducted by Nielsen. Winning products also receive the right to feature the PoY seal for one year, showing the product’s leadership position among consumers. The awards were given to those Samsung products that users felt embodied and excellence in their particular categories. Samsung SUHD TV received the Television category award, Samsung’s Gear VR was voted Product of the Year 2017 in the Wearables category and the Galaxy S7 Edge top honours in the Mobile Phone category.

Winning organisations are considered the leaders in their field and their products are seen as a testament to quality and excellence.

The Gear VR is one of the most immersive entertainment solutions available, enabling users to experience virtual reality like never before.
