This Earth Day, 22 April 2021, here are some great ideas from GLAD on how to make your trash into treasure by upcycling.
Take a moment to consider how things you typically think of as trash could be given new life through a little upcycling project. It's a win-win: you divert more waste from landfill, while creating cute and useful new items for your home!
- Turn a plastic bottle into a backyard planter
- Craft custom stamps out of old lids
- Use a jar to hang candles outside
- Craft a tin can wind chime
