IBC SOLAR SA: Growing Track Record at African Trade Shows

Submitted by: Daniel Haitzler

Cape Town, February 11, 2020 – IBC SOLAR South Africa, a subsidiary of IBC SOLAR, a global leader in photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy storage has increased their track record in participation at Trade Shows in Africa in 2019. Beside the almost traditional stands at the Solar Show in Johannesburg and the info wall within the German Pavilion at the African Utility Week in Cape Town, IBC SOLAR South Africa also participated at the Future Energy East Africa in Nairobi in September last year. The proven concept of being part of the German Pavilion Team with an info stand worked also well in Kenya.

IBC SOLAR SA plans to further enhance its presence at trade shows this year. The consistent focus on PV systems with storage for backup and offgrid is the company’s core competence and main approach in the African market. Such PV systems help to develop the decentralized energy supply for the African continent or provide power where there has been none or only a generator before.

The first exhibition on the agenda 2020 is the Solar Show Africa from 31st March to 1st April in the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg where IBC SOLAR will be exhibiting with their own stand. “Our focus on PV systems with storage products will remain the theme for 2020’s shows”, says Daniel Haitzler, Managing Director of IBC SOLAR South Africa.

“Providing South Africans with solutions for load shedding and power insecurity is our goal. We have been working very successfully with the local battery manufacturer SolarMD in this respect, which products have been in our portfolio since April 2019 and of course will be also shown on our stand this year.”Since the end of last year, IBC SOLAR South Africa also carries Fronius products in its portfolio.

“Together with Victron and SMA’s PV inverter plus Sunny Islands, they strengthen the company’s position as the expert for storage and off-grid solutions” explains Alexander Joist, Business Development Manager of IBC SOLAR South Africa. The amount of products within the portfolio allows maximum flexibility providing clients with bespoke PV systems for their application.

Next to the own high quality IBC SOLAR products, the company also offers a wide range of other brands such as GCL, Longi, BMZ or SolarMD. Get Empowered by the Sun and visit IBC SOLAR at the Sandton Convention Centre, Level 2, Stand B17.
