BOOST Cape Town Launches Its New Website and Opens Its Pages to Contributors
CAPE TOWN, 9 October 2026 - BOOST Cape Town, the website that backs local businesses in and around the Mother City, has launched a full redesign at boostcapetown.com. The update gives the platform a new look and adds a feature that hands the pen to the community: contributors can now publish their own articles.
Most Cape Town websites and directories spend their energy on tourism. BOOST Cape Town took a different route from day one, and the relaunch carries that mission forward with a design built around the people who run local businesses. This release covers the story behind the platform, the changes that come with the redesign, and how anyone can start contributing.
Why BOOST Cape Town Exists
Daleen Prinsloo started BOOST Cape Town on 21 January 2024. She noticed that tourism filled the city’s online spaces while local businesses had little room to be seen. She built BOOST to give those businesses a home of their own.
“Cape Town talks to visitors all day long. I wanted local businesses to have a place where they do the talking, and this relaunch gives them a bigger microphone.” said Daleen Prinsloo, founder of BOOST Cape Town.
The website has grown from a few hundred to over 1000 monthly visitors since 2024, and the redesign marks the next step.
What the New BOOST Cape Town Website Offers
The new design makes pages easier to read, simpler to navigate and quicker to load, so visitors can find what they need and get back to running their businesses.
The biggest addition is a contributor system. Writers can submit articles that explain a topic, opinion pieces that take a stand, news stories about the local business scene, insights that spot trends, and business resource articles that give readers tools and guidance. Each article adds a voice to the community, and each voice makes the platform more useful for the next reader.
How to Contribute to BOOST Cape Town
Writing for BOOST Cape Town puts your name, your expertise and your business in front of readers who care about local business, and it earns you a few backlinks, which search engines and AI tools both notice.
Your by-line also builds your reputation, because a published article on a platform dedicated to Cape Town business shows that your knowledge deserves attention. That reputation matters for GEO, which stands for generative engine optimization, the practice of showing up in answers from AI tools such as chatbots and AI search.
One article can bring readers today, search visibility in the months ahead and mentions in AI answers down the line, all while teaching another local business something it can use.
Business owners, consultants, freelancers, journalists and copywriters can all submit work. Writers can find the submission details on the Contributors page or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Local businesses that want a feature on the platform can use the same contact details.
