Webber Wentzel strengthens its tax advisory practice with senior appointment
Written by: MyPressportal Team Save to InstapaperWebber Wentzel has announced the appointment of Transfer Pricing Specialist, Karen Miller, who joined the firm on 1 June 2016 to complement and strengthen its tax advisory capabilities in South Africa and beyond.
Karen brings a wealth of corporate tax experience, which spans over 20 years in both public and private sectors in South Africa and the United Kingdom. She joins Webber Wentzel from Deloitte, where she served as Transfer Pricing Leader for the Western Cape since 2014.
Prior to Deloitte, Karen was the Ernst & Young (EY) Africa Sub Area Transfer Pricing Leader, where she was instrumental in growing EY's Transfer Pricing practice, which earned the firm a tier 2 rating in the TNS Survey, as well as building hubs in East and West Africa.
Karen also previously worked at the South African Revenue Services where she led the Transfer Pricing Practice.
Karen holds a Masters of Law in Tax Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Law from the University of Cape Town, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Plymouth Polytechnic (now University of Plymouth) in the UK.
