Ariston’s Suran Moodley Named Best Lead HR Auditor by SABPP

Suran Moodley, Managing Director at Ariston Global, has been named Best Lead Auditor at the South African Board for People Practices’ (SABPP) annual People Factor Conference and Awards Gala evening.
This award recognises Suran’s dedication to elevating the standard of Human Resource (HR) audits across South Africa’s public and private sectors, driving greater professionalism, ethics, and quality in how organisations manage their people practices.
“Not only is it an honour to be recognised in this forum, I am incredibly pleased to be able to work with organisations that recognise the increasingly strategic role of human capital within an organisation,” says Moodley explaining that he has seen a notable shift in how business leaders engage with HR.
CEOs, MDs and board members are increasingly recognising HR as a strategic driver of organisational success.
Moodley says: “This goes beyond the familiar statements of ‘HR is strategic’ to a clear demand for measurable alignment between people practices and business strategy.”
He encourages organisations to adopt the SABPP People Practices System Model and People Practices and Governance Standard (PPGS), or similar models, to guide this alignment. By building an ecosystem of people, processes and technology, informed by internal and external analysis HR can truly become a catalyst for achieving strategic business objectives.
Moodley concludes: “At Ariston, we believe that your people are one of your most valuable assets and we are excited by the challenge of helping you unlock this potential.”
