QACC AFRICA to launch in South Africa, appoints Khangelani Dziba as Country Committee President
Submitted by: MyPressportal TeamRAPT Creative Group Division Head of PR & Influencer Partnerships, Khangelani Dziba (they/them), has been appointed as the Country Committee President for the Queer and Allied Chamber of Commerce Africa (QACC Africa).
QACC Africa facilitates a diverse and inclusive economy in Africa by establishing a dynamic and thriving commercial ecosystem for queer entrepreneurs, queer-owned/operated businesses and the allied business community.
Its approach is that of ‘economic advocacy’ believing that promoting economic inclusion along with economic development will ultimately achieve economic justice and societal integration for the LGBTQIA+ community. This will allow LGBTQIA+ people to sustain their own lives, health, security and education without relying primarily on outside support, while at the same time restoring a sense of human dignity to the community.
In partnership with its PAN-Africa Board, Dziba’s first task will be to establish and launch the South African chapter of the organisation.
“I am immensely honored to have been identified as a suitable candidate and leader to carry forward QACC Africa’s mission in South Africa and, by extension, Africa at large,” said Dziba.
“It indeed is a vision and mission that aligns with my purpose, which is to see my community emancipated through active acts of visibility and advocacy, all of which will have long-term equity gains for the community,” they said.
