With the economy currently going through tough times, and the government looking for green shoots to restart an economy battered by the ongoing Covid19 pandemic, Lebone Litho Printers, leaders in heavy-duty specialized printing, has raised its hand to empower and develop small-medium, and micro enterprises (SMME’s) aligned to its various business operations. The company has identified several business areas where empowered companies can apply to be on their database of service providers such as logistics, digital services, and project management.
Lebone CEO, Keith Michael, says SMMEs have an important role to play in the rejuvenation of the country’s economy following the devastating months of lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak.
“Lebone is very much part of the fiber of the South African society, therefore the President’s call for everyone to play a role in reactivating the economy after lockdown resonates with us quite deeply. We are opening opportunities to support and develop small businesses so that they can come out of the current economic slump quite quickly with our support, be able to sustain their businesses, and save or create more jobs. We need to pull up and bring into the mainstream economy as many participants as we can, who are aligned to our businesses,” says Michael.
There are several opportunities available for SMMEs such as companies that can handle the distribution of learner teacher support materials (LTSM), warehousing, pick, and packing. Lebone Media digital solutions are looking for digital competencies such as developers, App developers, and service providers to do Robotics, Analytics, and E-books. Another Lebone associated company, Azalea Holdings needs project managers and distributors.
“We cannot solve all the challenges the pandemic and slow-growth economy has dealt our country, but we can play our part in developing local SMMEs so they can become job creators and contribute to the dwindling fiscus,” adds Michael. SMME’s keen on partnering with Lebone have to register on their database by e-mailing the following documents to database@lebonelitho.co.za.
