Trellidor appoints new CEO, Damian Judge
20 April 2026
Durban, South Africa – 20 April 2026 - Trellidor, a leading manufacturer of security gates and burglar bars in South Africa, has announced the appointment of Damian Judge as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 2026.
This leadership transition follows the retirement of outgoing CEO, Terry Dennison, who concludes an exceptional 27-year tenure with the company and will be focusing on family commitments. Dennison was instrumental in leading the company from private ownership to its listing in 2015, and more recently concluded the sale of Taylor and NMC, resulting in a simplified business and strengthened balance sheet.
Judge, who joined Trellidor in 2019 and has 15 years of manufacturing experience, steps into the role from his current position as Chief Financial Officer with the additional responsibility for sales and marketing for the past year, bringing with him extensive experience and a deep understanding of the business.
“We are excited to appoint Damian to this prestigious position. He has played a pivotal role in positioning new growth strategies for the company and possesses an intimate knowledge of the company. We are confident that he will continue to drive the business forward with the same determination and passion,” said Terry Dennison, outgoing Chief Executive Officer.
Leadership Transition and Succession Planning
Judge assumes his new role and will oversee a structured handover period. Dennison will remain involved during this transition to ensure continuity, stability, and the successful implementation of the succession plan.
Commenting on his appointment, Judge said: “The timing is right for this evolution in our management structure. We have overcome several challenges in the past years and successfully navigated them by simplifying the business. The succession plan has been developed over the past few years and this next chapter gives us an opportunity to build on our key strengths as a brand, and a business, leveraging our best-in-class manufacturing facility and an impressive sales and installation network across the African continent.”
Strengthening the Leadership Team
Judge says that he is also looking forward to working closely with the newly appointed Chief Financial Officer, Jennifer Erasmus: “Jennifer joined six months ago in a shadow leadership position. Her appointment forms part of our broader strategy to realign our leadership team.”
Both Judge and Erasmus will be further supported by a broader long tenure Trellidor management team.
Ends.
