CFI To Host Cape Town Trading Seminar On Market Fundamentals

Johannesburg, South Africa – 16 March 2026CFI Financial Group, a leading global online trading provider, will host its next foundational trading seminar on Thursday, 26 March at the Taj Hotel in Cape Town.

Titled “Before Your First Trade – 5 Essentials To Know,” the session is designed to help new and aspiring traders understand how financial markets function before committing capital.

The evening will be led by trading educator Lismore Burke, who will guide attendees through the core principles that influence market behaviour and price movements.

The seminar will focus on helping participants build a clear understanding of how different financial markets operate, including stocks, currencies, gold, and major indices. Attendees will also explore how trading opportunities vary across different asset classes, depending on market conditions and global developments.

Participants will gain insight into how traders interpret market conditions, including identifying whether markets are trending strongly or moving sideways, and how these conditions influence trading strategies and decision-making.

A key component of the seminar will examine how economic drivers and global events influence price action, providing attendees with a structured framework for analysing market opportunities before entering a trade.

The session will conclude with a live walkthrough of a rules-based trading strategy, guiding attendees through the process of identifying an opportunity, analysing the market environment, and managing a trade step by step.

According to Zihaad Israfil, CEO of CFI Financial South Africa, the goal of the seminar is to help first-time traders approach financial markets with greater clarity and a structured mindset.

Many people are curious about trading but feel overwhelmed by the amount of information available. Our aim with sessions like this is to simplify the fundamentals so people can understand what moves markets and how experienced traders approach decision-making,” says Israfil.

Before placing a first trade, it is important to understand the environment you are stepping into. When people have a framework for analysing markets, they can approach opportunities with far more clarity and confidence.

The seminar forms part of CFI’s broader commitment to financial literacy and accessible education, providing individuals with practical guidance on how financial markets work and how to approach trading responsibly.

Registration is open to anyone interested in learning about financial markets and developing a structured approach to trading decisions.
