CFI Brings Trading Education And Market Expertise To Johannesburg

CFI Financial Group, a leading global online trading provider, will host a trading seminar in Johannesburg on Saturday, 10 October at Workshop17 The Auditorium in Sandton.

The seminar will bring CFI’s local team together with trading educators Khanyisa Mnisi and Nqaba Nhantsi for an afternoon focused on how markets are analysed, how different trading approaches are applied and where risk fits into the decision-making process.

CFI will open the programme with an overview of its trading offering, platforms and global access, including the tools available to clients and the role responsible risk management plays when participating in financial markets.

The market-focused sessions will look at current conditions and some of the forces influencing global financial markets. Attendees will hear how experienced traders and analysts interpret changing conditions and what they consider when assessing developments and opportunities.

Trading educators Khanyisa Mnisi, Founder of ADHD Trader, and Nqaba Nhantsi, CEO of Nhantsi Capital Trading, will lead the trading strategy component of the programme. Their sessions will explore different trading approaches and how analysis can change as conditions develop.

CFI Financial South Africa CEO Francois du Plessis says bringing different perspectives into the same room gives attendees an opportunity to look beyond a single way of approaching trading.

“People often come across a strategy or a market view online without seeing the thinking that sits behind it,” says du Plessis. “An in-person session gives them the chance to hear how different people approach the same set of conditions, ask questions and understand why a particular approach may work in one environment and need to change in another.”

CFI Market Analyst Lismore Burke will also take part in the programme, contributing analysis and insight into the factors currently influencing financial markets.

Du Plessis says understanding the thinking behind a trading decision is an important part of developing practical knowledge.

“This includes how an opportunity is assessed, where the risk sits and what changes when the market does something you did not expect. It is about building greater understanding of how trading works without creating unrealistic expectations.”

The programme will include an interactive question-and-answer session, giving attendees an opportunity to raise questions around trading approaches, analysis and strategy. There will also be time to engage directly with the CFI team and other attendees, with the CFI team available to provide support and answer questions during the event.

The Johannesburg seminar is part of CFI’s wider commitment to financial education and its ongoing engagement with South Africa’s trading community. Through in-person seminars, webinars and other educational initiatives, CFI aims to make practical financial knowledge more accessible and support greater understanding and more informed participation in financial markets.

It takes place on Saturday, 10 October 2026 at Workshop17 The Auditorium, 128 West Street, Sandton, Johannesburg. Registration opens at 13:00 and the seminar begins at 14:00.
