ALTERAM SOLUTIONS OPENS ITS DOORS TO NEW INTERNS
Submitted by: TebogoAlteram Solutions has welcomed its newest interns. This is the company’s second internship programme since 2015/2016 which currently employs 20 interns. The internship programme is aimed at providing these enthusiastic individuals with Information and Communications Technology (ICT) skills and experience that will help equip them for the world of business. The interns will be granted an opportunity to really learn what is expected of them when they are representing the company.
An internship programme is training that is given to potential employees who aim at attaining corporate jobs in the near future. One of the advantages of an internship is that the interns come in with fresh ideas on execution and problem solving. Internship programmes are important for companies as they allow employees to be on the lookout for good candidates to hire. Organisations are always looking to hire people who they know will be able to successfully execute their duties.
“As a services company, our employees are the only asset we have to sell. We are thus always looking for ways to improve our skills and service offerings. Growing a successful business is all about having a good business mind, combined with a strong skill set in a particular area of expertise,” says Garth Madella – Chief Technology Officer at Alteram Solutions.
This recent internship programme at Alteram Solutions commenced in April this year and kicked off with induction and extensive training. The company’s growth has been strengthened by employee development as new ideas, solutions, techniques and strategies are continuously being developed in the business. Alteram Solutions views its employees as its most valuable asset, and making sure that they are trained with the knowledge and skills they need is an investment.
“A practical work background is important for graduates and this internship programme enables the interns to gain first-hand exposure of working in the real business world. We are all shaped by the experiences we go through in life. Internship programmes encourage a greater understanding of your capabilities as a working professional and encourage personal development. This is also an opportunity for the students to showcase their talent and commitment to prospective employers.
It is important for employers to realise that not only do internship programmes help them get more hands to get the job done, they also allow them to give support to hopeful students. This internship programme is important for Alteram Solutions as it is an opportunity to give back to the youth and help them excel and achieve their goals,” concludes Garth Madella.
