Global finance and business leaders to convene in South Africa for CIMA's ENGAGE Africa 2026 conference

CIMA to bring together finance and business leaders for insights into the future of the profession in Africa and beyond

05 October 2026, Johannesburg – The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the world’s leading professional body of management accountants, will host the third edition of the flagship ENGAGE Africa 2026 conference at The Lord Charles Hotel, Cape Town, South Africa, from 28 to 30 October 2026. Centred on the theme The Next Wave of Resilience, the conference will bring together finance and business leaders to explore the forces reshaping organisations, economies and the profession itself.

Featuring a diverse line-up of regional and international speakers, ENGAGE Africa 2026 will explore the forces reshaping Africa's business environment, from macroeconomic volatility and liquidity pressures to technological disruption and evolving workforce demands. The programme will focus on helping finance and business leaders translate these challenges into strategic action, equipping them with the financial, technological and leadership capabilities needed to drive resilience, growth and long-term organisational success.

Tariro Mutizwa, FCMA, CGMA, Vice President – Africa at The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, said:

“Across Africa and around the world, organisations are navigating rapid economic change, technological disruption and increasing uncertainty. Against this backdrop, ENGAGE Africa 2026 will bring together leading voices and diverse perspectives to explore the trends shaping the finance and business landscape. Our goal is to ensure delegates leave with practical insights, actionable strategies and renewed confidence to help their organisations adapt and thrive.

“What makes ENGAGE Africa truly special is the calibre of conversations, connections and ideas that emerge when professionals from across the continent come together to learn, innovate and lead. The engagement and energy we witnessed at previous editions extended far beyond the conference itself, sparking new thinking, meaningful collaboration and lasting professional relationships. As we prepare for the third edition of ENGAGE Africa, we look forward to building on that success and delivering an even more impactful experience.”
