Call for 2025 Advertising Agency Internship Programme Applications

The Association for Communication and Advertising (ACA), in partnership with the Media Diversity and Development Agency (MDDA) and the Economic Development Fund (EFD), is offering four fully-paid, 12-month internships for recent graduates or matriculants eager to begin a dynamic career in Advertising and Communications. The internship period will commence in February 2025.
Programme Details
Interns will be employed by an advertising, media, or communications agency for the duration of the programme. They will also be enrolled in the ACA’s accredited Graduate Programme, delivered in partnership with The Red & Yellow Creative School of Business.
This unique opportunity allows participants to work and study simultaneously, gaining hands-on industry experience while learning essential skills and knowledge required to excel in the sector. Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be awarded a National Certificate in Advertising qualification (NQF 5).
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African Citizen classified as “Black” under the definitions in the BBBEE Codes of Practice. Specifically, this includes:
- Citizens of South Africa by birth or descent.
- Citizens of South Africa who obtained citizenship by naturalisation prior to April 27, 1994.
- Citizens of South Africa who obtained citizenship by naturalisation after April 27, 1994, but who were eligible for citizenship before that date.
- Between the ages of 18 and 30.
