EWSETA takes Career Guidance to the next level with the launch of their Career Guidance Portal

The Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA) is committed to transforming skills development and career opportunities for South Africans within the energy and water sectors. At a time when skills within these two sectors are in high demand, and when the sector’s infrastructure demands more talent to resolve legacy challenges, the authority has reinforced its visibility by launching the EWSETA Career Guidance Portal.
“The career guidance portal is designed to help young people interested in a pursuing a career in the energy and water sector, navigate the varied and exciting careers needed today and for tomorrow,” says Candice Moodley, Corporate Services Executive at EWSETA. “It is a natural addition to our physical career guidance events, enabling us to reach more learners and to provide much needed career guidance information with just one click. The portal also offers other valuable information that seeks to guide a young learner to make informed decisions about their future career”.
As part of the EWSETA Career Guidance Portal launch, and to encourage the growth of young talent from across other disciplines and industries, EWSETA has announced an exciting competition. Young web designer graduates are invited to visit the portal at https://ewsetacareers.org.za, take a look around and then submit a landing page design and recommendation for overall career guidance portal enhancements to This email address is being protected from spambots. Entrants need to spend some time going through the career guidance portal to ensure that their ideas encapsulate the EWSETA brand and career guidance information in a fun, informative, exciting and interactive way. They need to be original, think outside the box, and bring fresh creativity and ingenuity to the portal. The winner will receive a 12-month internship to work with the EWSETA marketing team and play a fundamental role in taking the Career Guidance Portal and other EWSETA digital platforms to the next level.
“What excites me about this platform is that it embodies our commitment to driving skills development in South Africa and creating lasting career opportunities for our talented youth,” concludes Moodley. “It is more than just a portal; we want it to be a space where we can help learners become the best version of themselves and help them launch careers that will shape their futures.”
