Dear Valued Customer,
It has come to our attention that Hertz Global Holdings Inc in the United States of America filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Hertz holds the trademark to the “Dollar Thrifty” brands and has no involvement in the operations or ownership of Dollar Thrifty car rental South Africa. Hertz international has no shareholding in the South African Dollar Thrifty company, which is owned 100% by Springs Car Wholesalers PTY LTD, a legal entity registered in South Africa.
The bankruptcy of Hertz USA in no way affects Dollar Thrifty South Africa’s car rental operations as we would continue to pay the franchise fee and would continue trading using the Dollar Thrifty brand.
Springs Car Wholesalers PTY LTD is a proudly BBBEE level 2 company. We stand by our motto “Great Cars, Great Rates and Great People” and will continue to expand in South Africa as we have over the last 20 years.
Kind regards,
Imraan MoollaManaging Director
