No-Profits Holiday for Traumatised Students
Submitted by: KarenJohannesburg, SA, – Offering a week-long no-profit holiday for students, with evening Christian message: Restoration of Hope
Karen Schnugh, Chief Steward of Refresh states, “We are deeply concerned about the trauma that students are experiencing at this time, and wanted to do something that would offer healing. We trust this holiday at the end of November will do just that. Our cost covers the basic cost of the holiday – we will not get profit from it.”
We have set aside 28 Nov – 4 Dec – at the end of the student term to go away together and celebrate the end of the year with good, clean fun. We are going to a place near George, and having an amazing holiday together.
It is one of the best-kept secrets of the Garden-Route, and is right near the beach, with plenty of space for quiet contemplation as well as noisy team-games. It is merely incidental that it is an ideal place and time for singles to meet – what we are going there for is to make friendships; have adventures; and support and encourage one another to be stronger and better people. We will have a Garden-Route Tour, and will have beach and water activities, hiking, night-games and skit evenings. There are of course optional extras such as bungee-jumping, abseiling, and the normal water-activities for an extra charge.
In the evening, we have a message from God’s Word to restore and renew our souls – this is the highlight of each day. The costs range from R2450 to R3600 including all accommodation, food and tour.
We are partnering with Carmel Guestfarm, who have given us very low rates for accommodation and food; and with Ravi Zaccharias International Ministries (SA) – Mahlatse Mashua, the Director, will be our evening speaker.
