Available at each establishment to pair with all meals is the award-winning Benguela Cove wines and the wine estate in Walker Bay, Hermanus is now headed up by new award-winning winemaker, Johann Fourie, who is acclaimed Diners Club Winemaker of the Year 2015.
Benguela Brasserie & Restaurant at Lakeside Lodge & Spa
Create memories at the 5-star boutique hotel in Sedgefield on the Garden Route, Lakeside Lodge & Spa. With beautiful views of the Swartvlei Lagoon, saying goodbye to 2016 has never been this elegant. On Saturday, 31 December at 18:30, an incredible four course meal is available at R850 per person and guests can expect dishes such as onion tarte tatin roasted peppers and goat’s cheese or cassoulet white beans, braised pork, duck and vegetables. Live music and dancing will also be incorporated into the new year celebrations.
Chef Kelly-Anne Pietersen will prepare a special 3 course meal for all year end functions when booked at Lakeside Lodge & Spa, for only R350 per person. Celebrating a successful year with colleagues and friends on a high gourmet note is definitely one to remember.

Benguela on Main in Somerset West
Not many will be able to top a fine dining festive experience by Executive Chef, Jean Delport. This December, Benguela on Main presents a choice of a six course tasting menu at R650 per person, paired with wine for R950 per person or an indulgent three course menu at R400 per person which is available to tables of 10 people or more. Each dish is carefully selected to combine flavours that explode as each one is undoubtedly art on a plate. A unique experience that can be tried and tested throughout the month of December. This magical festive offering is available for year-end functions. Please note, Benguela on Main will be closed on Christmas Day.
On Saturday, 31 December a special New Year’s Eve dinner will be prepared for guests to welcome 2017 in, the right way. A decadent six course tasting menu at R1200 per person is just one thing to look forward to. A flight of wines for R350 per person will also be available on the evening and live music emulating Michael Buble will be performed by Kallie to gently whisk guests into the new year.

Benguela Cove Pop-Up Restaurant
What better way to spend Christmas or New Year’s than in a beautiful setting like Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate? In Walker Bay, Hermanus, the estate’s incredible Pop-Up Restaurant opened its doors on Thursday, 6 October 2016 just in time for the festive season. A delicious four course lunch is available on Christmas Day, 25 December at 12:00 for R750 per person. Guests can expect festive fine dining dishes such as ham hock stuffed trotter terrine and maple glazed duck breast together with a special kiddie’s menu at R120 for kids between 4 and 12 years.
New Year’s will be no exception and guests will celebrate in Benguela Glamour style with a four course meal on Saturday, 31 December in the opulent Manor House. Dishes like potato gnocchi with rosemary roasted figs, Parma ham and walnut crumble and vanilla, blueberry mouse with litchi sorbet can be found on the menu. Live music and dancing will be fused into the evenings celebration to welcome in a brand new year.
