Brides Buzzing - The South African Wedding blog

{pp}Today’s modern bride is getting more and more creative and involving herself in every last detail of her big day. Whether it’s creating handmade invitations or favours to other unique concepts, brides are adding a whole new meaning to the term “my wedding”.

“Planning a wedding can be so much fun and it’s such a great way to express your unique personality and style” says Dimi Ingle, publisher of the South African bridal blog – www.bridesbuzzing.com.  Dimi, who recently got married, launched the site as a means to help other brides plan their special day and have fun doing it.  After all, it’s a once in a lifetime event that remains locked in your memories for ever.

Whilst planning her wedding, Dimi built up a collection of articles, tips and décor ideas that took seven months to accumulate.

From her collection, she found that most of the really useful bits that brides really need, especially the little things that are often overlooked, were all geared towards overseas brides.   Dimi eventually decided to create a South African bridal blog, giving SA brides-to-be a place where they can could gather and discuss all their ideas in one place.  One bride’s suggestion may spark other brides wedding preparations.

“BridesBuzzing.com aims to take some of the wedding prep stress away by offering a wide spectrum of suggestions from our team of bloggers. It’s also a great resource for brides who don’t have much time to plan their wedding and where they can get good advice from real brides instead of corporations who are trying to sell their product” she says. BridesBuzzing’s team of online bloggers consists of both married and engaged women who post on average 1-4 times per week.

Their posts typically include a collection of their own wedding preparations – everything from their wedding dress to how-to tips on creating similar wedding stationary to why they chose their wedding venue.  Posts also include tips and advice on how to keep your budget at bay, make up advice, wedding day secrets and interesting little bits that will help you feel better and more stress-free for when the big day arrives. Non-bloggers are given the opportunity to get involved by posting comments on their views on the specific subject or just add in their two cents in a fun, interactive way that doesn’t cost a thing. Ends
