Skaap earns as Telkom fiddles
Submitted by: Skaap[Pressportal.co.za] Tweaking call packages and reducing call rates has done little to quell the upsurge of interest in the new telecommunications player Skaap. Skaap’s cheap international call facility has people flocking to them. Innovatively introducing a new Java application that enables users to dial overseas directly from their cell phones without first inputting a code is just another service that Skaap is premiering.
“As you can probably imagine, a large amount of the South African population has friends and relatives overseas, punitive call charges are a thing of the past. The wool has been pulled over the consumers’ eyes for far too long” says Brett Magrath, Managing Director of Skaap. “Skaap is offering cheap international calls via landlines or cell phones at a fraction of the cost of Telecommunication operators in South Africa,” he continuesThe ever-increasing demand from consumers for better quality at a lower price has been a pipe dream; Skaap has shown that it is indeed possible. With a website upgrade scheduled for the end of the month, improved quality connections during calls and a new dedicated customer care team, Skaap are well on their way to providing a high quality service with a ‘customer is king’ philosophy that perhaps has been missing in other major service providers that should have been available to South Africans long ago.International experts have long since held the view that information technology and communications are the enablers of economic stability, growth and prosperity in Africa. Skaap believes that reliable quality communications are the cornerstone. Their infiltration of the call shop market has enabled a large amount of the populace to contact friends, family and business associates throughout the African continent as well as the rest of the world, and this at rates that up until now were simply unaffordable.Fiddling with rates and packages this late in the day, is just that, too late. It would certainly be remiss to assume that the people of South Africa are fickle. There’s a new kid, or lamb, on the block and they mean business.Contact Details:Brett Macgrath Skaap Tel: 021 762 9630 brett@skaap.com www.skaap.com
