NOTHING PRINTED IN BLACK OR WHITE
Submitted by: Steven J Brown
Grocery shopping- let’s face it, can be anything from extremely boring to very frustrating – especially when shoppers are on the run; fetching the kids from school or en-route home from work after a busy day.
Now imagine if none of the food items were labeled - you wouldn’t know a can of baked beans from one of tomatoes!
As for getting any form of news, be it in newspapers or from the newsreader on TV, what would happen if there wasn’t any print featured in the top morning newspapers?
Imagine watching Tumelo Mothotoane try to read the headlines for the viewers without any print to read, or seeing TV presenter Tino Chinyani navigate the supermarket aisles trying to buy something when confronted with shelves of identical silver unlabeled tins?
PrintingSA is highlighting the importance of the printing, labelling and packaging industry in a humorous yet real life setting.
Tune into ETV between 6am – 8am on Tuesday, August 28th to see just how difficult it is without the print word.
