DOW Networks Teams with Cofesa Marketing for VoIP Offerings to Cofesa Members

Submitted by: Stephan Roode
{pp}Today DOW Networks and Cofesa have announced a joint marketing agreement whereby DOW Networks will be offering Voice over IP services to the Cofesa membership base. “We look at this as a value-added offering to our current members who can save money on international calls”, said Cofesa Marketing MD, Bernard van der Walt. We selected DOW Networks for this because of the fact that they have been a ICASA licensed provider since 2005, they have over 5 years of experience in the international Voice over IP sector and as a company, they are dedicated to bringing service to South Africa as they have recently opened an office here in Johannesburg”.
ImageCofesa realised that with the current slow progress in bringing South African telecommunications up to international standards and with high costs, SA businesses are at a disadvantage in the international arena. “We therefore started a search for a reputable service provider that we can recommend to our members”, van der Walt also said.“We are very happy to be partnering with Cofesa in this venture”, said DOW Networks CEO, David Wise.  “In coming to South Africa, we used Cofesa to help us establish our business in terms of legalities, employment and payroll and were very impressed with their professionalism.   It then occurred to us, that many of the clients that were using Cofesa for these type of services were probably also international companies like ourselves and that they could benefit from our Voice over IP offerings.”In addition to standard cost-saving Voice over IP services, DOW Networks also provides toll-free service from over 70 countries world-wide including the United Kingdom and IP-based PABXs.DOW Networks was incorporated in 2001 in Atlanta, Georgia and is privately held.  In addition to providing telecommunications service, the company also re-sells voice and data networking equipment and provides network engineering and consulting services. Cofesa provides 6000 businesses in South Africa with labour relations services through 24 offices.
