Motimoves Enters Five-year Sponsorship Agreement With Gauteng Touch Association

With 253 players across 14 teams set to benefit, the sponsorship will alleviate significant financial pressure on players and the association, allowing the GTA to focus on coaching, training and expanding competition opportunities, says MotiMoves.
Zunaid Moti, Founder of MotiMoves, says, "Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. When we remove financial barriers, we're helping players while sending the message that no athlete should have to give up on their dreams because of money. Players and coaches shouldn't be worried about whether they'll have the proper gear to play next weekend, or a kit that matches the passion and pride their players bring to the field. They should have all their focus directed at advancing the game they love."
"The design of these kits will do a lot for their confidence and remind players that they are lions and the other team is their prey. I look forward to seeing them dominate every tournament from here on out," adds Moti.
Chris Brownbill, GTA Chairperson, says, "MotiMoves' support will allow us to focus on what truly matters: developing our players and growing the sport. We have set some ambitious goals for touch rugby over the next few years, and with the support of our sponsors, we can make significant headway in building the sport's presence across Gauteng, giving more junior and senior players an opportunity to get out onto the grass."
A Sponsorship Model to Drive Sports Development
Moti notes that the MotiMoves model serves as an example for other businesses to engage in similar sponsorship initiatives, meeting their corporate social responsibility goals while bringing about real change in people's lives.
"There's a lot of talk about giving back, but real impact comes from action, not words. Businesses shouldn't wait for the right moment to invest in the communities that support and need them. There are many different kinds of needs out there. If you look, you will find one that touches your heart," says Moti.
MotiMoves concludes that it will also continue supporting communities by addressing basic needs through soup kitchens, blanket drives, food hampers in disaster-stricken areas, widow support funds and various other donations.
