The latest and first four-year accreditations awarded to Cure Day Hospitals Bellville and Somerset West are evidence of how firmly this commitment to continuous quality improvement has become established within the organisation.
Cure Day Hospitals joined the Cohsasa programme in 2017. Today, 11 of its hospitals are accredited: Bellville, Bloemfontein, East London, Erasmuskloof, Fourways, Medkin, Midstream, Paarl, Somerset West, Wilgeheuwel and Newmarket Day Hospital with the Foreshore hospital due for accreditation in November. More are scheduled to join the programme in the future.
For Cure Day Hospitals Group CEO Bert von Wielligh, accreditation is far more than a certificate of achievement. He believes the Cohsasa process adds tangible value to the services the Group provides and, importantly, reinforces a culture in which quality and patient safety are part of everyday practice.
