Jacaranda Fm's Good Morning Angels Donates R50 000 To Rural Veterinary Clinic

"Most people do better when they know better," says Dr Grelying. "However, many people simply cannot afford the best care for their pets as they struggle to put food on the table. That's why we exist — to bridge that gap and ensure that animals in these communities receive the care they need."
Sterilisation plays a crucial role in controlling stray populations, preventing disease and improving overall animal welfare. However, despite WanderVet's doctors and healthcare professionals working entirely for free, each sterilisation costs around R500 per animal, making funding essential for their mission, the radio station says.
Recognising the work of WanderVet, Jacaranda FM's Good Morning Angels says it stepped in to make a difference, helping fund 100 sterilisations and supporting the organisation's efforts.
"There are things in life you cannot do too much of, and for me personally, one of them is helping animals and educating people on how to treat them," says Jacaranda FM's breakfast host, Martin Bester. "When people give up their time and expertise to help animals, it's something I think we should all support."
Jacaranda FM concludes that with the support of Good Morning Angels, WanderVet can now continue its mission of providing free veterinary services.
