Dream Drive Launches 'derby Kings' Campaign
Written by: Media Update Editor Save to Instapaper
To kick things off, Dream Drive says it brought together two of the country's football icons: Itumeleng Khune (Kaizer Chiefs) and Happy Jele (Orlando Pirates). Hosted by Siphiwe Tshabalala, the two rivals go head-to-head in a series of entertaining challenges to determine who will be crowned the Soweto Derby King.
To introduce the campaign, Dream Drive says it dropped a spaghetti western-style teaser featuring the two in a cinematic standoff, Khune in a yellow Ford Ranger Wildtrak and Jele in the black Jaecoo J7. Both vehicles, along with more than 25 others, are currently available to win on the Dream Drive platform.
Over the coming weeks, fans can watch a series of light-hearted but competitive challenges unfold between the two players, all referred by Shabba himself. Each challenge will bring fans closer to the action while celebrating the rivalry between the Chiefs and Pirates, says the company.
Dream Drive says it is giving away an exclusive VIP experience for one fan and a friend to attend the Soweto Derby.
The experience includes:
- VIP Soweto Derby tickets
- food and drinks
- a meet and greet with the Derby Kings, and
- the chance to win your dream car.
To enter into the Dream Drive competition, participants must buy any Dream Car ticket on www.dreamdrive.co.za and enter 'DERBY' as the discount code at checkout. Dream Drive says the winner will be announced on Friday, 25 April.
"This campaign is about celebrating South African football culture in a way that's fun, nostalgic and rewarding," says Steve Tyler, Dream Drive spokesperson. "The Derby is more than just a game, it's a cultural moment. We're excited to give fans the chance to experience it in a way they'll never forget."
Dream Drive concludes that the 'Derby Kings' campaign runs throughout April, with new challenges dropping weekly across social media.
