Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas will arrive in South African waters for the first time this November.
As a part of her Cape Town–Singapore journey, Voyager of the Seas will dock in Cape Town on November 14 and in Port Elizabeth on November 16.
“This is more than a port call, it’s a statement,” said Marco Cristofolli, CEO of Cruises International. “The arrival of Voyager of the Seas marks the beginning of a new era for African cruising. It demonstrates global confidence in our market and opens doors for leisure, business, and incentive travel (that balances work and play) unlike anything seen before.”
The vessel will also call in Walvis Bay on November 10, prior to her arrival in South Africa, and will continue on to make a stop in Mauritius on November 21.
To celebrate this milestone, Cruises International will host exclusive ship-visit and tour events at each African port.
The Cape Town visit will welcome a guest list of media, tourism leaders, and government stakeholders to collaboratively explore the future of cruise travel in Africa, while the Port Elizabeth event will partner with the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber to showcase Royal Caribbean’s MICE offering to leading business executives and travel decision-makers.
“This is a momentous occasion for us. Bringing Voyager of the Seas to South Africa is a moment of pride, a celebration of connection, innovation, and global confidence in our region’s cruising potential,” says Jacqui Mabuza, Head of Commercial for Cruises International: Royal Caribbean Africa.
“This voyage signals the beginning of a new era for cruise tourism in Africa, and Cruises International is proud to be the bridge that makes it possible. As Voyager of the Seas sails east, she will begin a new cruise itinerary rarely seen within the Royal Group, and we are pleased to see the demand resulting in a now sold-out cruise. Royal Caribbean is globally renowned, especially for its unrivalled Caribbean, Mediterranean and transatlantic cruise itineraries,” she added.
Cruises International represents Royal Caribbean in the South African market.
