Carol Ofori Launches The Comeback Podcast Focused On Resilience And Real-Life Stories Of Triumph
Written by: Media Update Editor Save to Instapaper
The Comeback dives deep into the personal journeys of individuals who've hit rock bottom, faced life's toughest moments and found their way back, says Ofori.
"In a world flooded with perfection on social media, I wanted to create a space where real stories could be heard — stories of grit, grief, healing and hope," says Carol Ofori. "The Comeback is for anyone who needs to be reminded that no matter how hard life gets, it's possible to rise again."
The first season features a lineup of guests, from unsung heroes to public figures who've faced deeply personal battles. Listeners will hear from Davina Kowlas, known for her appearance on The Mommy Club: Sugar and Spice, as she opens up about her journey through eight miscarriages on her path to motherhood, says Ofori.
Other episodes include conversations with everyday South Africans who share their own experiences of transformation after trauma. Ofori says other guests set to appear on The Comeback include:
- Zamani Ndimande, who rose from petrol attendant to music industry powerhouse
- Dr Thabani Mazibuko, a rural dreamer turned space technology expert
- Jes Foord, a rape survivor who now leads an NPO supporting victims of sexual violence, and
- Devina Kowlas, who speaks candidly about her journey through loss and resilience on the road to motherhood.
Each episode offers listeners a dose of perspective, resilience and connection, making The Comeback more than a podcast. It's a community, a safe space and a much-needed reminder that no one is alone in their struggle, says Ofori.
Ofori adds, "This podcast is for anyone who's ever felt like giving up. These are stories that say: you're not alone, and yes — you can overcome."
Ofori concludes by encouraging listeners to listen to The Carol Ofori Podcast every Thursday on the East Coast Radio website, iono fm, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and anywhere else podcasts are consumed.
