Prism Awards 2025 Invites Entries Under Theme ‘The Human Factor’ For Impactful Communication
Written by: Media Update Editor Save to Instapaper
This year's theme, 'The Human Factor,' honours the empathy, authenticity and purpose that define powerful communication in a world craving real connection, says the awards.
"The PRISMS has grown into a movement that champions meaningful storytelling, ethical leadership and professional excellence," says Bradly Howland, President-Elect of PRISA. "We're not just spotlighting great work — we're building the future of our industry, together. As part of this, we're honouring communication that connects, moves and shapes society through strategic, human-centred storytelling."
Following a record-breaking number of entries in 2024, the 2025 PRISMS are poised to be the most inclusive and inspiring edition yet, says the awards.
PRISA is calling on agencies, in-house teams, students and academics across Southern Africa to submit the campaigns, ideas and people redefining the future of the profession.
According to PRISA, PRISMS 2025 includes:
- the PRISM Awards
- the PRISMS Summit, bringing together thought leaders, professionals and change makers for future-focused learning and collaboration, and
- an Academic Track, showcasing research that informs and advances the profession.
What's New in 2025
The 2025 PRISM Awards introduce changes that elevate both the experience and the impact of participation:
- Theme-Driven Categories: Reflecting 'The Human Factor,' with an emphasis on connection, ethical impact and real-world influence.
- Dedicated Academic Track: Celebrating research that informs and advances professional practice.
- New Student Categories: Shining a spotlight on emerging public relations talent.
- Regional Rotation: For the first time, the PRISMS will adopt a regional hosting model, with Johannesburg set to host the 2025 gala event.
"Being part of the PRISMS is about more than accolades; it's about influence," adds Howland. "Every submission contributes to a greater mission — to raise the bar, elevate our voice and grow the credibility of communications across Africa."
Individuals are encouraged to submit their entries here.
