Nearly a decade after Nick Hamman first introduced the tour as the ultimate love letter to South Africa, the 5 Breakfast team is hitting the road again, broadcasting from a variety of locations, says 5FM.
The 2025 edition of the 5 Breakfast Heritage Tour officially started off at the Festival of Motoring at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg, with 5FM broadcasting live from the event. On Monday, 8 September they officially started their journey, broadcasting live from Ponte Tower in Joburg, followed by a broadcast from the Cradle of Humankind on Tuesday, 9 September and a visit to Suzuki Kyalami on Wednesday, 10 September, says the radio station.
Lasting until 27 September, the 5 Breakfast team will travel across the country, visiting landmarks, uncovering hidden gems, and sharing extraordinary South African stories. The station will be hosting live broadcasts, Suzuki showcases and profound experiences, adds 5FM.
Individuals can join in at any of 5 Breakfast's Suzuki broadcasts, where they can meet the team, hear about stories and upcoming plans, and stand a chance to win spot prizes, says the station.
Nick Hamman, Xoli Zondo, Thabo Baloyi, Marli van Eeden and the road trip team will be visiting the following locations, according to the station:

The tour will culminate in a stunning world record at the Jimny gathering at Louvain Guest Farm in the Western Cape — concluding the tour by closing a record amount of Jimny doors at the same time, says the station.
5FM and Good Hope FM Business Manager, Masi Mdingane, says, "The 5 Breakfast Heritage Tour, in proud partnership with Suzuki, has become an annual calendar highlight for many South Africans. It's a beautiful, adventure-filled showcase that never fails to blow away those who follow it, and those who join in along the way, with exactly how much this country and its people have to offer. It packs up a whole radio station, takes it on the road, gets up close and personal with the best of Mzansi, and shares all of its rich and diverse nuances across the airwaves, digital streams and the world."
