Situated in Sandton at 104 Katherine Street, the premier site marked a milestone: the 100th Woolworths Foodstop opened at an Engen forecourt in South Africa, says the company.
Engen Sandton Convenience Centre offers a full bouquet of premium retail convenience, including a Quickshop & Co. convenience store, Café 365 bakery, Brazmata barista coffee, Nando's, and a Woolworths Foodstop, alongside its fuels, Engen Primax Unleaded and Engen Dynamic Diesel, adds the company.
"Our new flagship site in Sandton underscores Engen's ongoing commitment to innovation, service excellence and customer convenience, as well as a bold statement of our ambition," says Enoch Hermanus, Engen General Manager of Retail.
"With the opening of the 100th Woolworths Foodstop, this is a double celebration for us — and for our customers."
To mark the occasion, Engen hosted a fun-filled public celebration on site, with entertainment, giveaways and exciting promotions, including:
- a spin-the-wheel competition for the chance to win Engen 1app vouchers
- a share of R50,000 in prizes for shoppers who spent R100 or more in-store
- surprise R500 fuel discounts at the pumps
- brazmata coffee giveaways and Café 365 treats
- family-friendly fun with popcorn, a live DJ and photobooth moments, and
- as a landmark in Engen's expanding retail journey, the Sandton Convenience Centre is purposefully positioned to meet the fast-paced lifestyle of residents, commuters and urban customers — delivering quality fuel, fresh food and all-day convenience.
"Quickshop & Co., Café 365 and Brazmata are at the heart of Engen's convenience strategy," concludes Hermanus. "We're continuously evolving our offerings to ensure we remain the number one choice for South Africans on the move."
