"This treasure hunt is pure excitement in motion. It's an excuse to get out there, have a laugh and fall head over heels for Cape Town all over again," says Enver Duminy, CEO of Cape Town Tourism. "The city is buzzing with energy, beauty, and hidden treasures. Sometimes, all it takes is an adventure like this to remind us just how much there is to love right under our noses. It's time to have fun and let the city surprise you at every turn."
Cape Town Tourism says the winner will get a basket filled with items for a Cape Town adventure.
To take part in the competition, participants must:
- Follow @lovecapetown on Instagram and Facebook to receive clues daily at 09:00 and 13:00.
- Solve the clue and race to meet the Love Cape Town Thando Team at one of the secret spots revealed daily.
- Be the first to show up and get the prize.
Cape Town Tourism says that participants who do not show up first are still entered into a lucky draw for the grand prize.
"This treasure hunt is all about the vibe," concludes Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, Alderman James Vos. "It's a chance to showcase Cape Town's electric energy, creativity and community spirit. We're excited to be part of this, not only for the fun but for the way it brings locals together and shines a spotlight on the amazing things the city has to offer."
