Carl Wastie, the voice behind the popular Western Cape afternoon drive show, is celebrated for his humour and personality. With Cassidy Nicholson now joining the team, the radio station promises that listeners can look forward to a dynamic filled with sharp wit. The Flash Drive remains a suitable companion for entertainment and conversation, says the radio station.
Hennie Myburgh, Station Manager at Kfm 94.5, says, "Welcoming Cassidy to our team is an incredible milestone. Her unique comedic flair and relatable insights will resonate deeply with our audience, ensuring their afternoons are filled with laughter and connection."
Nicholson, also known as "A Girl Named Cassidy," is an artist widely known on various platforms. As an actress, stand-up comedian and digital content creator, Nicholson brings a relatable voice to the airwaves. Her characters — most notably the "Constantia Mom" — fuse humour with storytelling, ensuring that each on-air moment is both entertaining and authentically engaging, says the radio station.
"I'm absolutely excited to join Carl on The Flash Drive," Nicholson says. "This is an amazing opportunity to connect with Western Cape audiences and share some hilarious, familiar moments that we all experience. I can't wait to bring a little chaos and a lot of laughter to Kfm afternoons."
The station concludes that listeners can look forward to segments like "Flash Word," which airs daily just after 17:00, and the interactive, "Switch the Hits at Six," where listeners can take control of the playlist and celebrate their preferred tracks as the day winds down.
