HI-TEC SA - Returns as The Official Footwear & Apparel Sponsor Of The KNYSNA FOREST MARATHON 2023

Hi-Tec, one of South Africa’s leading outdoor footwear, apparel, and accessories retailers has once again come on board as the official footwear and apparel sponsor of the Knysna Forest Marathon. The Knysna Forest Marathon is held annually during the Knysna Oyster Festival and is one of the most popular, not to mention beautiful races on the calendar!

Taking place on Saturday, 08 July, the marathon offers several unique highlights that cannot be found in any other trail in the world. In its 38th edition, the race promises to be an exhilarating and memorable experience for all participants, with different distances available to athletes of different fitness levels - from half-marathon 21.1km to the full-marathon 42.2km.

True to its name, most of the route runs deep into the Knysna Forest with breath-taking views over the estuary and even the iconic Knysna Head, a great distraction to get participants through those last few kilometers.

Being part of such events also allows us to engage with our customers and we can’t wait to see everyone out there, having fun and pushing their limits.”

 Participants will have the opportunity to purchase Hi-Tec products at registration and on the day of the race from the brand’s wide variety of footwear and apparel to get them ready for the race. Amongst the many items that will be available for purchase runners can shop last minute essentials such as the Geo-Trail Core and Geo Trail Pro W running shoes, Hi-Tec Aston 55L bag, Geo Visor , Walky Pack , Men’s Spike Shorts and many more.

This is a fun family event with lots of activities for the whole family, including a beer tent and Oyster stand for the adults. There will also be lots of entertainment around the town for those who love exploring and trying new things.

 Entry tickets for those who will be participating in the race are limited and will close on Saturday, 21 May Last year, the full marathon had 1002 people participate and the half-marathon had 5496 participants bringing in a whopping total of 6398 overall entries.
