SchoolMedia hosts 1000 learners for career day
Written by: MyPressportal Team Save to InstapaperSchoolMedia arranged for 1000 learners from schools across Gauteng to attend a Denel career day on Friday, 6 March.
This give the learners an opportunity to consider possible futures that they may not yet have considered. Held at Denel head offices, the career day allowed for these aspiring achievers to learn more about potential careers with the defence giant. SchoolMedia (an in school media placement and advertising company), arranged the logistic and scheduling of bus services in order for the learners to attend the career day. They also created and managed the learners’ database, organised indemnity forms, arranged for collection from Denel and took responsibility for on-the-day logistics management to ensure that all learners arrived safely and on time. The campaign ensured that learners from 10 different schools across the Gauteng province were exposed to information about working in the SA defence industry. "SchoolMedia was delighted to be able to assist in ensuring that these learners got a chance to see just where their lives can go, thanks to Denel. We have no doubt that the career day that Denel presented will leave a huge impact with all of those who attended," Khethi Ngwenya explains.
