Johannesburg, South Africa, 04 March 2025 – Dibber International Preschools is proud to announce that 10 of their schools have completed the Afri Compliance 5-Star Schools Certification Programme.
"The certification, awarded after a comprehensive independent audit, underscores our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and overall wellbeing within our learning environments," says Ursula Assis, Country Director of Dibber International Preschools.
As a global leader in early childhood education, Dibber voluntarily undertook the rigorous assessment to ensure the schools not only meet but exceed safety and compliance standards. While South African schools are not required to undergo such certification, Dibber chose to participate in this process to reinforce its dedication to providing a secure, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for every child.
The independent audit, conducted by Afri Compliance, evaluated our schools across a range of critical operational areas that include:
- Environment and perimeter security.
- School buildings and infrastructure.
- Equipment suitability, condition, and maintenance.
- Emotional care and student wellbeing.
- Healthcare preparedness.
- Reporting and response measures.
- Cyber safety protocols.
- Statutory, regulatory, and legal compliance.
- Access control and internal security.
- Sport and recreational facilities.
- Playground safety and extra-mural activities.
- Educational requirements.
- Student protection mechanisms, including personal safety.
- Emergency procedures and disaster preparedness.
- General occupational health and safety.
"At Dibber, the safety and wellbeing of our children are at the heart of everything we do. Undertaking this voluntary compliance certification reflects our commitment to creating safe, stimulating, and enriching learning spaces. We believe that by proactively maintaining the highest standards, we are setting a benchmark for early childhood education in South Africa.
"This certification is a milestone for Dibber and reinforces our belief that a secure learning environment fosters the holistic development of every child. With the successful completion of this assessment, we will continue to uphold and enhance these standards across all our preschools, ensuring parents' confidence in the quality of care and education their children receive," concludes Assis.
