Masina MONC - DA to picket for accountability and change
Written by: MyPressportal Team Save to Instapaper
Thursday 25 October, DA Ekurhuleni Caucus Leader, Cllr Phillip de Lange will lead a picket ahead of the debate for the motion of no confidence in the Executive Mayor, Cllr Mzwandile Masina.
The Caucus Leader will be joined by the DA Team One South Africa Spokesperson on Basic Services, Makashule Gana, and the DA Team One South Africa Spokesperson on Corruption, Phumzile Van Damme.
The DA strongly believes that the Mayor has failed in his mandate of service delivery and clean governance to the residents of Ekurhuleni.
The DA has long raised the issue of poor service delivery across the metro. From crisis to crisis, the failing ANC-led coalition continues to act irresponsibly and recklessly, placing its own agenda ahead of those communities in Ekurhuleni who rely on the metro, with the vulnerable being the most affected. We will be leading the charge in bringing change to the people of Ekurhuleni.
It is time for change that builds One South Africa for All by stopping corruption and speeding up the delivery of services.
