Globally renowned relationship workshop touches down in SA
Submitted by: Tessen EnterprisesOne of the largest selling non-fiction books of the nineties – Dr. John Grays’ Men Are from Mars, Women are from Venus - has been transformed into a relationship workshop, and is soon to be brought to South Africa. According to a recently released Time/CNN poll, two thirds of people answered “yes” when asked if “people should be required to take a marriage-education course before they can get a marriage licence.” With a divorce rate that has quadrupled in the past 20 years this has catalysed the demand for literature to enhance relationships and bridge any communication divides that exist between male and female.
The Mars-Venus Workshops will be facilitated locally by Tess Elsen of Tessen Enterprises. Moderated by an international network of 300 facilitators, personally trained by relationships author Dr John Gray, the workshops will provide an ideal forum for the communications gap so often fatal to a relationship.Explains Elsen, “A woman can turn a man off without ever knowing what she did wrong; and a man often fails to perceive a woman’s need to share her feelings and talk openly about her problems. Men feel women are always trying to change them; and women complain that men just don’t listen!”John Gray explains in the introduction to this eight-hour course, “We mistakenly assume that if our partners love us they will react and behave in certain ways – the ways we react and behave when we love someone.”John Gray’s work is designed to help men and women understand the fact that they have different needs and with helpful information provided, couples can learn how to compromise. With so many South African’s spending most of their time at work, relationships tend to be neglected, this workshop will provide participants with the understanding of motivational differences between sexes, how their past influences their current relationships, and how to keep passion alive in a long-term relationship. The workshops consist of four modules covered within an eight-hour period. The classes are insightful, “male-friendly”, fun and non-confrontational.“The goal of the workshops is to enable participants to internalise these overwhelmingly successful methods of communication and put fun and passion back into their relationship,” says Elsen. Ultimately a healthy, well-balanced relationship with your partner is the key to personal happiness. If the workshops are as successful as Dr. Gray’s books, South Africans can expect a whole lot more loving.Contact Details Name : Tess Elsen Company : Tessen Enterprises Phone :083 266 1505 Email : tess@marsvenus.co.za URL : www.tessen.co.zaNotes to the Editor:The next Mars-Venus Workshop is being held in Randburg on 26th August 2006.
