South Africa’s premier outdoor lifestyle and adventure event returns in September
(South Africa, June2016) One of country’s biggest travel, outdoor and adventure events, The Gauteng Getaway Show, sponsored by Mercedes-Benz Vans, will return to Johannesburg and is set to be even bigger and better this year!
The popular travel show will be hosted at the Ticketpro Dome from 23 to 25 September 2016 and will feature over 400 exhibits with more than 19 000 visitors expected to stream through the doors over the three days.
The Getaway Show will have a variety of exhibits on offer with a great selection of popular and very niche special events happening over the three days with loads of exciting options for ardent travel enthusiasts, outdoor sports fanatics as well as the entire family.
For the more adventurous type there’s the Adventure Area where event goers can enjoy slacklining and abseiling, and, for the less hard-core visitor there’s the Travel and Taste Theatre featuring local cuisine, wine and beer; a Wine Village with samples and products to buy; and for the even mellower, a Chill Zone to have coffee and charge your phone.
Showcasing over 400 exhibits including travel-destinations, accommodation, outdoor gear, 4×4 products and accessories, motor homes, caravans and trailers, camping equipment and adventure operators, there is, without doubt, something for everyone.
Here’s a look at some of the highlights you can expect:
