Written by: JessFarley Save to Instapaper{pp}South African music audiences will be given the opportunity to sample the best in up and coming SA live performances this March with the Powerzone Roadshow. From 7 – 31 March, a selection of artists, including: Evolver, Bloodmoney, Driverlane, Black Hotels and One Sock Thief, will be touring en masse to Pretoria, Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, George, Gordon’s Bay, Port Elizabeth, East London and Cape Town.
All bands touring with the Roadshow have enjoyed a degree of success, be it in the mainstream, campus or underground scene. What the tour does, therefore, is merely bring the nearly established bands to the forefront of the audiences’ attention. The ethos of the Powerzone Roadshow remains the same every year; it’s all about a love for local music and giving audiences across the country to sample the wonderful talent that this country has to offer!Following in the wake of five successful Roadshow tours, starting in 2002, the 2007 Powerzone Roadshow boasts the biggest line-up with the most varied showcase of music to date! The history of Powerzone is made up of a list of artists who have established their names on previous tours, including: Prime Circle, The Parlotones, The Finkelstiens and Perez.Tickets for shows will range between R30 and R40 and can be bought at the door at each venue. CDs and merchandise will be available throughout the tour and a signing table will be set up for fans to meet the bands after their performances. For more information, extended biographies, interviews or press shots, please contact Jessica.Contact Details:Jessica FarleySovereign Entertainment011 462 7311076 120 1395 This email address is being protected from spambots.
