{pp}The Event Production Company has just returned from Cape Town, where they co-ordinated a successful black tie presentation for 150 people on behalf of SABC for the launch of ‘90 Plein Street’. Ably representing The Event Production Company was project assistant, Pumla Sithole and Project Director, Chris de Villiers from the Johannesburg office.
90 Plein Street is a new educational drama series on SABC2 on Wednesday, which is being aired for 13 episodes. Producer Mandla Sibeko says,’90 Plein Street reflects the world of parliament and the logistics of governance. It is about seeing democracy in action at a social level; winning and losing; personal victory and obsession; the pursuit of power and the hope for a better life’ and The Event Production Company is very happy to be associated with this educational series. The event was held at the well known Cape Town Convention Centre and persons present included Adv. Dali Mpofu, Chief Executive Officer of the SABC and some members of parliament. Invited guests arrived at 18h00 and a popular local Jazz Band entertained the crowds well into the night. Pumla Sithole said of the event, ‘the turnout of the event was amazing, given the fact that the event was organised at such short notice’ and the client SABC Education said about The Event Production Company, ‘I have honestly never had such excellent service and worked with such wonderful people in a long long time’.
