Starbucks spreads the love to pups – and you!
Written by: MyPressportal Team Save to Instapaper
Starbucks is spreading the love to fur-kids this Valentine’s weekend – with a free ‘puppuccino’ and red-ribbon-wrapped dog biscuit when their human parents visit their favourite neighbourhood meeting spot. And for human couples without a furry friend, there’s a special Valentine’s offer of a free chocolately treat with a double order of Starbucks Venti Beverages, or a 2-for-1 special on exceptional Starbucks coffees from Zambia and Ecuador. Because Starbucks is the Best Valentine’s Day treat for humans (and pups)!
A uniquely Starbucks trend enjoyed all over the world, puppuccinos are mini cups of whipped cream and nothing else – no coffee, no added flavours, no sugar – just a delicious, snout-licking, tail-wagging treat for a well-deserving faithful friend.
Camps Bay hounds have been in on the secret treat since the store launched in December, and this Valentine’s weekend will welcome new stopping-off spots for canine companions and their people in Johannesburg at Rosebank and Melrose Arch, in Pretoria at Castle Gate and Menlyn Maine, in Stellebosch at Checkers and at Florida Road in Durban. All these street-facing stores offer pup-friendly entry, with water on tap and the chance for their human parents to enjoy some of Starbucks’ world-famous coffee, frappuccinos and other hot and cold delights. And the puppy love doesn’t end after the Valentine’s weekend – puppuccinos served with a side of doggie biscuit are set to become a regular item on the menus at these stores, free to every pup who brings their owner in for a cup of their favourite Starbucks brew.
Join the conversation on social media by sharing your pics of your pooches and their puppuccinos on social media using the hashtag #puppuccinopooch– for maximum ‘aah cute’ value.
