Stanley Beer Yard Goes Under the Knife
Written by: MyPressportal Team Save to InstapaperThe much beloved craft beer bar, Stanley Beer Yard, has closed its doors for an entire redesign, rebrand and refresh and will be taken over by an entire new look and menu offering.
“Still staying true to the nature of the original brand, the new restaurant and bar will focus on real, genuine and crafted food and drinks”, says Larry Hodes, owner. “We are excited about the new changes and hope to do justice to Stanley beer Yard by commemorating it in the best possible way”.
The five year old doors officially closed on Friday 11 May and the brand-new ones will open on Friday 8 June. It wouldn’t be Stanley Beer Yard without a massive farewell party to end off a fantastic era, so they will be open again this Friday 18 May from 17h00. Beers and tequila will be on special all evening and Mr Vinyl, Bret Dugmore, will be on the decks from 17h30 – 19h00
There will also be an auction of all Stanley artefacts from 19h15, which will give loyal customers a chance to take a piece of the iconic Jozi brand home. The Klassikist will play from 19h45 – 21h00 and Charles Leonard, the regular and favourite Friday night Vinyl DJ, will be playing his best music collection for the sendoff at 21h00 – late.
What to expect when doors reopen? “Modern boho décor and original music, food and drinks. We want authenticity and honesty to come through in everything from the menu to the bar and the music” says Larry. And the name? “You’ll have to wait and see”.
Table bookings for the closing party are recommended.
