School of Rock Hits One Year Milestone!

(Cape Town, May 2016) School of Rock Claremont, South Africa’s leading performance-based music school is proud to announce its one year birthday which will take place on 11th May 2016. To mark the celebration there will be an Open Day on the 14th May from 10:00 to 14:00where you will get to experience the School of Rock culture.

Families are encouraged to pop by and see first-hand what the school offers on a daily basis, while instructors and students rock out in the jam room and showcase their talent. Treats will be available as well as exciting spot prize competitions.

Leigh Spaun, Marketing Director and Co-owner of School of Rock Claremont  says “To think that we started this franchise on the 11th May 2015 and after 1 year of business we have reached 200 students aged 4 to 65, from beginner to advanced players and from all corners of Cape Town, even Dubai and USA.”  

School of Rock will also be launching its very own recording studio which will expand their offering and provide professional services such as: recording, mixing and mastering as well as audio, voice-over recording for film. The launch of the new recording studio reflects the brands continued investment in the SA music industry by providing students as well as aspiring and established musicians with a platform to create music.

Spaun adds, “We are excited about the future of School of Rock and have so much in store for this year! People can look forward to more performances, touring opportunities, mentorship programmes, our School of Rock Recording Studio and an exciting new location opening up in the northern suburbs in 2017.”
