Several new appointments have also been made.
They are Mr Alexei Ilin as Ballet Master. Mr Ilin joins the SA Ballet Theatre’s Artistic staff and will be working closely with the Team on the upcoming season of The Sleeping Beauty which opens on March 29th at The Johannesburg Civic Theatre.
Mr Jorge Humberto Montero, who hails from Mexico, will be joining the Company at the end of the month as a Soloist.
Mr Tshego Matladi and Philip Davel (a recent graduate of The Tshwane University of Technology) are two new Company members joining the SA Ballet Theater on short- term contracts.
The following dancers have resigned from SA Ballet Theatre effective December 1st 2007:
Nicole McCreedy(Senior Corps de Ballet), Ms Lorna Maseko(Soloist) and Mr Andile Ndlovu (Senior Corps de Ballet).

The SA Ballet Theatre will announce casting for the 2008 season of The Sleeping Beauty (accompanied by the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra, due to the partial sponsorship of Rand Merchant Bank) in March.
