Prima Toys is proud to announce the launch of Baby Thando, the very first Zulu-speaking doll, to South African toy shelves. Baby Thando is part of Prima Toys’ very own local doll range called Baby Love, which has been created specifically for South African children.
“Toys are our passion, so we are always on the lookout for toys that fulfil children’s dreams. One of our biggest endeavours has been the creation of our very own doll range and this year we are very proud to announce that we have fulfilled one of our own dreams, that of bringing the first ever Zulu-speaking doll to toy shelves,” explains Chiquita Patrizi, spokesperson for Prima Toys.
Baby Thando speaks both Zulu and English. She says 25 phrases like “Sawubona Mama”, “Ngilambile”, “Bheka mama ilanga libalele” and “Cela ungixoxela inganekwane” in Zulu and 25 other phrases in English.
There are two other dolls in Prima Toys’ Baby Love range – Baba Tasha and Baby Bella. Baba Tasha speaks 50 phrases in Afrikaans, including “Ek is honger” and “Ek is lief vir jou” and many more. Baby Bella is English-speaking and also features 50 phrases.
The dolls are ideal for girls aged two and over. Each doll comes with a plate, spoon, fork, bottle and dummy for loads of fun play. Baby Thando, Baba Tasha and Baby Bella will definitely be on every girl’s Christmas wish list this year!
