International award- winning tequila celebrates perfectionism
(JOHANNESBURG): In 2017, Patrón launched Perfectionists- a competition to unite barmen in the quest to create their best cocktail utilizing Patrón as the hero that brings it all together. 19 countries across the globe participated, attracting over 1,500 entrants- establishing the Perfectionists as a beacon ofperfectionism that is integral in the standard of mixology.
This year, Patrón is doing it again with a broader global reach and giving South African barmen the opportunity to be crowned the ultimate Patrón Perfectionist. 20 different countries, across 6 continents will be competing for both national and global titles. Inspired by the perfectionists who craft eachbottle of Patrón, the unique challenge is an opportunity for bartenders and mixologists to demonstrate their skill, expertise and understanding of the Patrón values- creating the perfect Patrón Tequila cocktail. The competition in addition, opens up the chance for the South African national winner to becrowned the Patrón Global Perfectionist at the Hacienda Patrón distillery, Jalisco, Mexico in 2019.
The brand, synonymous with craftsmanship is all about attention to detail and pride in the perfection process.
From the perfectionists who craft the tequila, the mixologists who use Patrón to create beautiful cocktails all the way to the consumer who wants to savour their experience while enjoying a premium tequila. This perfection can be seen in the jimadors selecting the Weber Blue Agave that makes the worldfamous tequila, it can be seen in the attention to detail when crafting every single bottle, in fact, it can be seen in every decision one makes.
“It is said, how you do one thing, is how you do everything. Perfectionism is an attitude, a guide for life. The process that Patrón tequila undergoes is deeply embedded in the belief that when perfection is the goal, everything leading up to that goal will be perfection. We choose to make Patrón in thetime honoured traditional way, because it’s the best way and this Perfectionists Cocktail Competition was created to celebrate this community of like minded individuals. Their creativity, their craft and their passion,” commented Patrón Director, International Marketing, Matthew Sykes.
